Warranty Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

This page will address some of the most common questions we receive from DASHUB members that are interested in warranty packages and options from DASHUB.

What is a warranty?

An automobile warranty is a type of insurance that protects you from unexpected and costly repairs to your vehicle. New vehicles are typically covered by a manufacturer’s warranty, and are sometimes sold by the dealership with an “extended” warranty. If a warranty is purchased to cover a pre-owned or used vehicle (like it would be here on DASHUB) it is technically called a “vehicle service contract”. Most people still call them warranties--which is fine--so that’s what we call them here as well.

What vehicles are eligible for a warranty?

The best way to know if a vehicle is eligible for a warranty is to talk with a DASHUB Sales Consultant, but here are some general guidelines that are different between clean-title plans and salvage-title plans. Salvage: cars and pickups only, up to 175,000 miles, additional see required for high-end vehicles.

Signing up for a warranty is done at the same time you’re purchasing your vehicle.
