Warranty Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
This page will address some of the most common questions we receive from DASHUB members that are interested in warranty packages and options from DASHUB.
What is a warranty?
An automobile warranty is a type of insurance that protects you from unexpected and costly repairs to your vehicle. New vehicles are typically covered by a manufacturer’s warranty, and are sometimes sold by the dealership with an “extended” warranty. If a warranty is purchased to cover a pre-owned or used vehicle (like it would be here on DASHUB) it is technically called a “vehicle service contract”. Most people still call them warranties--which is fine--so that’s what we call them here as well.
What vehicles are eligible for a warranty?
The best way to know if a vehicle is eligible for a warranty is to talk with a DASHUB Sales Consultant, but here are some general guidelines that are different between clean-title plans and salvage-title plans. Clean: vehicle is newer than 15-years-old, and newer than 10-years-old for higher-end vehicles (such as: Audi, Jaguar, Volvo, BMW); has 150,000 miles or less; has a $3,500 vehicle purchase price or higher, a clean title, and the clean title cannot show mechanical issues. Salvage: cars and pickups only, up to 175,000 miles, additional see required for high-end vehicles.

Is this a factory or extended warranty?
Is there a deductible? How much is it?
Yes. Not all benefits require the deductible be paid though. For prices you need to speak with a Sales Consultant at 855-980-0900 because they have to run some basic calculations for you.
How do I sign up for a warranty?
Signing up for a warranty is done at the same time you’re purchasing your vehicle. So the general flow is that when you’re discussing which DASHUB vehicle to buy, you also discuss with your Sales Consultant how much a warranty would cost, and then once you buy the vehicle, you attach a warranty package to it.
Can I use my regular repair shop?
How long is the claims process?
Our warranty partners makes every effort to make the claims process simple and as speedy as possible. The speed of the claim typically depends on the size of the repair, how busy the repair business is, if the parts are on hand or need to be ordered, or if the parts are available. We all rely on our vehicles in one way or another, so we understand the inconveniences caused by having a vehicle in the shop.

Does the warranty pay for everything if a component is covered?
As with most aftermarket warranties (i.e., vehicle service contracts), these packages typically pay up to one hour of diagnostics, labor time as per All Data Labor guides, replacement parts; and any additional services, fluids, filters, seals, or gaskets needed in conjunction with a covered component repair.
