+ What is Dashub?

Dashub is an online auto auction that provides registered users with exclusive access to insurance, pre-owned and salvage auto auctions. Our team of professional car specialists is happy to answer all of your questions and help you through the bidding and auction process.

+ What are your working hours?

Our hours of operation are Monday through Saturday, 9a-6p Eastern Standard Time. Dashub is closed on Sundays and on major US holidays, including New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas.

Our International Customer Service Centers are open 9am - 5pm local time, Monday through Friday, and are closed on weekends and local holidays.

+ How do I register for an account?

  2. 2. Fill out the requested fields, including name, email, phone number, and date of birth.
  3. 3. Be sure to check the box next to "I agree to the terms of service and privacy policy."
  4. 4. Click on the blue REGISTER button.

Once you have submitted your registration information, you will receive an email from Dashub asking you to verify your email address. Simply click on the link in the email to verify your email address.

+ How do I register for an account using Facebook?

+ How do I change my username or primary email?

For your security, we currently do not allow you to change your username or primary email once your account has been registered. If you wish to add an alternative contact email, you can add that to your profile.

+ How do I change my contact information and mailing address?

You can edit your contact information and mailing address under Edit Profile in your Hub.

+ How do I change my password?

You can change your password under Change Password in your Hub.

+ How many cards can I add to my Wallet?

You can add a maximum of three cards to your Wallet.

+ How do I edit my billing information?

Once a card has been added to your account, you can edit the billing information associated with that card by clicking on the Edit Billing Info button below it in your Wallet.

+ Why can't I just add a card to my account without purchasing something?

For your security, we do not allow you to add a card to your Wallet without making a purchase. We need to verify that it is you adding the card to your Wallet and making a purchase on the card. This helps to prevent fraudulent or unauthorized purchases from being made on your credit or debit card.

+ How do I remove a card from my Wallet?

To remove a card from your Wallet, click on the Edit Billing Info button below the card you wish to remove. At the bottom, you will see the option to delete the card.

+ Where can I get more information about bidding?

To learn more about bidding, please see the Bids Section in our Help Center.

+ What is my bidding history?

Your bidding history contains all of the bids you have placed on Dashub, including active bids, pre-bids, and expired bids.

+ What is in my Garage?

Your Garage houses all of your purchased vehicles. Please note that it may take up to 48 hours for a vehicle to be parked in your garage after it is won at auction. To get more information about each vehicle, click on the "View Vehicle" button below the vehicle.

+ What is my Watchlist?

Your Watchlist is a customized list that you create of vehicles you are interested in. It is also a useful tool to help your Dashub specialist learn your preferences to better assist you in finding your next vehicle. You can manage your Watchlist here. On this page, you can also opt to receive weekly reminder emails on Sundays for all vehicles on your Watchlist going to auction in the coming week.

+ How do I add a vehicle to my Watchlist?

To add a vehicle to your Watchlist, click on the icon on any vehicle listing page.

+ How do I remove a vehicle from my Watchlist?

To remove a vehicle from your Watchlist, please go to your Watchlist and click on the "Remove" button for the vehicle you wish to remove. If you are on a vehicle listing page and have accidentally added a vehicle to your Watchlist, click on the icon once more to remove it from your Watchlist.

+ Auctions

+ How do the auctions work?

Dashub displays all vehicles available for auction on our site. Since these auctions are available to dealers only, private consumers are not able to bid on them directly. By using bidding power to place a bid on our site, Dashub is able to then take your bid to the live dealer auction where we bid against other dealers.

+ How long do auctions last?

The length of the auction is typically 2 to 4 hours, depending on how many vehicles are up for auction.

+ Do I need a dealer license to bid on vehicles?

No, you do not need a dealer's license to bid on a vehicle. Since Dashub is a dealer, we are able to bid on your behalf at the auctions. We represent 500 auction yards throughout North America. We have over 150,000 vehicles available on our site, which is updated daily.

+ When is the auction?

The auction date is listed in the vehicle information page. If an auction date is listed as "Preview," this means that the auction date has yet to be assigned, as we are still waiting for the title of the vehicle to come in.

+ What does it mean when the auction time says "Preview"?

"Preview" means that the title of the vehicle is not in yet. Once the title is in, it will be assigned an auction date. To receive further updates about the vehicle's assigned auction date, we recommend placing a bid on the vehicle or adding the vehicle to your Watchlist. You will receive a notification in your dashboard as well as an email as soon as an auction date is assigned.

+ Am I able to purchase a vehicle before the auction end date?

Yes! Dashub has many vehicles that are available for purchase immediately. Learn more about Buy Now vehicles here.

+ Can you notify me when a particular vehicle is going to auction?

When you find a vehicle that you are interested in but not ready to bid on, you can still keep track of it by adding it to your Watchlist.Once a Preview vehicle has been assigned an auction date, you will receive an email of the assigned date as well as a notification in your dashboard.

+ Can I purchase this vehicle?

Most of our vehicles are sold through auction, and are therefore sold to the highest bidder. To bid at the auction, please upgrade your account with bidding power equal to 10% of your bid ($500 minimum).

+ Can you help me find a...?

Absolutely! Once you upgrade your account with bidding power, your personal Sales Specialist to work on your behalf to find you a vehicle that meets your specific needs and preferences.

+ Can I buy this vehicle for...?

Most of our vehicles are sold through auction and are therefore sold to the highest bidder. To bid on a vehicle, please upgrade your account with bidding power.You can only purchase the vehicle for a specific price if it is listed as a "Buy Now." To learn more about Buy Now vehicles, please see the Buy Now Section in our Help Center.

+ Can I buy parts?

Unfortunately, Dashub does not sell parts, only sell complete vehicles. However, we do sell many vehicles with a Parts Only title that can be used for parts.

+ Are there any additional fees?

+ What happens if I do not win the vehicle?

If Dashub is unable to win the vehicle on your behalf, your bidding power is automatically returned to your account and may be applied towards any vehicle on Dashub. If you are unable to find another vehicle you wish to purchase, you may request a refund.

+ I put in a fair bid for the vehicle I wanted. Why did I still lose the vehicle?

These auctions are attended by dealers all over the country and sometimes from around the world. A majority of vehicles are won at auction well below their market value, and Dashub does our best to win a vehicle for our customer within their specified budget range. As with any auction, there’s always the possibility of us being outbid by another party.

+ What did this vehicle sell for?

If Dashub was not bidding on a vehicle, we are not aware of the winning bid. Once a vehicle is sold, it is removed from our inventory. Our sales specialists are happy to help you find a similar vehicle from the wide selection of others available on our site.

+ Buy Now

+ What is a Buy Now vehicle?

A Buy Now vehicle is available for purchase at the listed price. To purchase one of these vehicles, please upgrade your account with bidding power of $500 or 10% of the vehicle's purchase price, whichever is greater. The full balance on a Buy Now vehicle must be paid for in 24 hours upon purchase.

Buy Now vehicles that are not sold prior to the auction date are then eligible for auction. If the vehicle is taken to auction, the process is the same as that of a regular auction vehicle and it may sell for below the Buy Now purchase price. If you want to take Dashub to take the vehicle to auction on your behalf, please contact your Dashub specialist to make these arrangements. If you elect to take the vehicle to auction, there is no guarantee that you will get it at a lower price, that it would not end up selling for a higher price, or that someone else may purchase the vehicle at the Buy Now price prior to the auction.

+ Is the price of a Buy Now vehicle negotiable?

Unfortunately, the price of a Buy Now vehicle is not negotiable. However, Buy Now vehicles that are not sold prior to the auction date are then eligible for auction. If the vehicle is taken to auction, the process is the same as that of a regular auction vehicle and it may sell for below the Buy Now purchase price.

+ Why not just take a Buy Now vehicle to auction?

Buy Now vehicles are sold to the first person that elect to purchase the vehicle, and are only taken to auction is the vehicle does not sell prior to the auction date. If you elect to take a Buy Now vehicle to auction, there is no guarantee that you will get it at a lower price, that it would not end up selling for a higher price, or that someone else may purchase the vehicle at the Buy Now price prior to the auction. If you are really interested in a Buy Now vehicle, we highly suggest you purchase the vehicle before the auction at the Buy Now price.

+ How long is the Buy Now option available for the vehicle?

The Buy Now option expires on the evening before the scheduled auction date.

+ How do I search for only Buy Now vehicles?

To search for Buy Now vehicles, be sure to check the "Buy Now" option in the advanced search on the homepage. You may also filter your search results to display "Buy Now" only vehicles by using the Listing Type filter. + How do I search for a vehicle?

There are a few ways to search for a vehicle. To conduct a broad search, type your search terms into the search bar located on the homepage and across the top of every page. If you are interested in a specific type of vehicle, click on Search Vehicles and use the dropdown options to further filter your search by year, make, model, vehicle type, and more.

+ How do I filter my search results?

Once you have your search results, you can further filter your search using the search filters. If you are browsing on your computer or laptop, these are located on the left of the search results. If you are browsing on a tablet or mobile device, these are located at the top of the screen.

With these search filters, you can further specify preferences for the vehicle that you are looking for, including year, mileage range, bodystyle, color, drivetrain, and more. When you have finished selecting all filters, click on the "Apply Filters" button to apply your filters.

To remove a filter from your search results, click on the red x next to the filter name and the page will automatically refresh with your updated search results.

+ Bidding Power

+ What is bidding power?

Bidding power is the maximum amount you are able to bid on a select vehicle at auction. Upgrading your account with bidding power enables your Dashub specialist to take your bid to auction to win the vehicle on your behalf. Bidding power is calculated as 10 times your deposit in your Hub. For example, a $500 deposit gives you $5,000 in bidding power.

+ How do I add bidding power to my account?

You can add bidding power to your account here. First, select "Add Bidding Power" for your order. Then, select a deposit amount. The deposit amount must equal 10% of your bidding power. If you are looking to add a specific amount of bidding power, you can select "Custom Amount" to enter your own deposit amount. For first time bidders, the minimum deposit is $500, which gives you $5,000 in bidding power.

+ What happens to my bidding power if I am outbid?

If you are outbid, you may increase your bid by adding more bidding power to your account. If you are no longer interested in bidding on this vehicle, your bidding power is automatically returned to your account and may be applied towards any vehicle on Dashub. If you are unable to find another vehicle you wish to purchase, you may request a refund.

+ How do I get a refund on my deposit?

Your deposit is eligible for refund after 30 days. Please note that all transactions must be complete and all balances paid before a refund may be requested. You may request a refund here.

+ Why can't I get my refund right away?

We realize that finding the right vehicle takes time. Since our inventory changes daily, great deals are always coming in. This means that even if you don't find the exact vehicle you're looking for today, there's a good chance that a vehicle matching your preferences and budget could be here tomorrow! Our specialists are always on the lookout to catch great deals for you, but to provide you with the best deal possible on your next vehicle, they may need a little time to find the perfect fit for you. If we're unable to find you something after 30 days, we're happy to give you a full refund at that time.

+ How will I receive my refund?

Refunds will be remitted back to you in the same form of payment as the original deposit. Deposits made by debit cards or credit cards that are more than 60 days old are refunded in the form of a check.

+ When will my refund be processed?

Once your refund request has been approved, you will receive it within 7 to 10 business days. If your refund is being returned to you in the form of a check, it will be mailed to you within 10 business days.

+ Bids

+ How do I place a bid?

On the Dashub vehicle listing page, you will see a white text box in which you may type your bid. Your bid must be more than the current bid, which is displayed above the white text box. Once you have typed in your bid, click on the “Place a Bid” button to submit your bid to Dashub. You may also submit your bid by phone by clicking on the “Bid by Phone” button to get more information on how to call in your bid.

All bids must be placed before the auction start time. Only bidders with sufficient bidding power will be notified by email regarding their bids. If you wish to place a bid on a vehicle that is already at auction, please call us immediately: +1 (855) 980-0900.

+ How many vehicles can I bid on?

The number of vehicles you may actively bid on is determined by the deposit amount that you have in your Hub, not by your Bidding Power. Dashub requires a $500 deposit per vehicle to actively bid on a vehicle. For example, if your Hub Deposit amount is $500, you would only be able to actively bid up to $5,000 on one vehicle. To bid on two vehicles, you would need a deposit amount of at least $1,000, which would allow you to bid on two vehicles (up to $5,000 each).

+ Is my bid the total amount I pay if I win the vehicle?

Your bid is the maximum price that you are willing to pay for the vehicle itself at the auction. Once the vehicle has been won, the final sale price will include your winning bid, shipping costs as well as additional fees. Please see our Fees Section for more information on fees.

Your Dashub specialist can work with you to ensure that the final sale price of the vehicle does not exceed your budget. To help your Dashub specialist find the right car for you, you can fill out your preferred budget range in your profile here.

+ Can I place a bid on a vehicle without any bidding power?

Yes, you can place a bid on a vehicle without bidding power to your account. However, your bid will be considered a pre-bid until it is backed by sufficient bidding power. Only active bids (bids backed by sufficient bidding power) will be taken to auction on your behalf.

+ Why does Dashub want me to bid higher than the current auction price?

Vehicles usually get bid up when they are on the auction block, and Dashub does not know every participant’s bid in advance. However, our team of specialists have extensive knowledge about the value of the vehicles at auction and can help you calculate a competitive bidding price to increase your chances of winning a vehicle at auction.

+ What is an active bid?

An active bid is one that is backed by sufficient bidding power and is ready to be taken to auction. Your specialist will contact you about the next steps. View your active bids here.

+ What is a pre-bid?

A pre-bid is bid that cannot be taken to auction yet. This is typically due to insufficient bidding power on the account. You can increase your bidding power here.

+ How do I know if I've been outbid?

The vehicle listing page will always display the highest bid backed with sufficient bidding power. If you think you have been outbid, we suggest you do the following:

  1. 1. Make sure that your max bid is backed by sufficient bidding power. Your bidding power must be 10% of your max bid ($500 minimum). If needed, you can add bidding power here.
  2. In the Bids section of your Hub, you will see all active bids in your bidding history. If your bid is backed by sufficient bidding power and you are still outbid, you may visit the vehicle listing page and submit a higher bid there. Please be sure that your account has sufficient bidding power for an increased bid.

+ I am interested in a vehicle but it seems to already be at auction. Can I still bid on it?

+ Winning a Vehicle

+ What happens after I win a vehicle?

Once Dashub has won a vehicle at auction on your behalf, you will receive a confirmation email from Dashub LLC. Your vehicle will be parked in your Garage within 48 hours, and a buyer’s order containing the terms of your vehicle purchase transaction will be emailed to you.

You will continue to receive further instructions from your Dashub specialist. Please continue to check your notifications and messages for further updates on your vehicle.

+ The vehicle I won is no longer listed as available. Is there a way I can still see details for my vehicle?

Once the vehicle is won, it may take up to 48 hours for it to be parked in your Garage. Once the vehicle has been parked, click on the “View Vehicle” button for the vehicle. On this page, you will see all of the details about your vehicle from the vehicle listing page, including vehicle details and photos.

+ How long does Dashub store my vehicle after it is won at auction?

Dashub will store any vehicle you have purchased at no charge for up to four (4) calendar days.

+ What happens if I change my mind after the vehicle is won?

If you change your mind after a vehicle has been won on your behalf, your deposit is no longer eligible for refund and will be used towards relisting the vehicle at the auction. Contact your Dashub specialist for further instructions on next steps.

+ Fees

+ Are there any additional fees?

Yes. Additional fees on vehicles may include auction fees, broker fees, documentation fees, loading fees, as well as transportation costs. All additional fees can be found on the vehicle information page next to the auction price. Hover or click on the fees link and you will see a breakdown of all fees for that vehicle.

Please note that the total amount due for the vehicle will be your bid price plus the fees listed. To ensure that your final vehicle sale price fits within your budget, please work with your Dashub specialist to find a vehicle that fits your price range.

+ What is the auction fee?

The auction fee refers to the fee charged by the auction houses and is calculated based on the final sale price of the vehicle.

+ What is Dashub's broker fee?

Dashub charges a broker fee for each vehicle. The fee is $299 for vehicles with a price less than $2,999 or $499 for vehicles with a price of $3,000.

+ What is the documentation fee?

There is an $85 documentation fee to transfer the title to your name and mail it to you.

+ What is a relist fee?

In the event that the remaining balance for a vehicle won at auction is not paid, Dashub is required to relist the vehicle for auction. You will lose all of your bidding power applied towards the purchase of the vehicle, and the full deposit amount will be applied towards the auction relist fee. Your deposit will no longer be eligible for refund.

+ Why are some vehicles marked "No Fees"?

Sometimes, Dashub runs a special promotion on certain vehicles. These vehicles may be marked as “Special Promotion: No Fees.” You will still be responsible for all shipping costs for the vehicle.

+ Do your fees ever change?

Dashub reserves the right to change the fee policy at any time without advanced notice.

+ Why was I charged a late fee?

In the event that the full payment for a vehicle is not received within 48 hours of the sale date (24 hours for Buy Now vehicles), you will be charged a late fee of $50 USD per day for each vehicle listed on the unpaid buyer’s order (including weekends and holidays). In the event that the full payment is not received within seven (7) days of the sale, Dashub reserves the right to cancel your purchase and will relist the vehicle at auction to be sold to another party. As a result, you will be charged $500 or 10% of the vehicle bid price, whichever is greater, to pay for the auction relisting fee.

+ Why was I charged a storage fee?

Dashub will store any vehicle you have purchased at no charge for up to four (4) calendar days, beginning from the day the vehicle was won at auction. Starting on the fifth (5th) calendar day after the vehicle was won at auction, you will be charged a storage fee of $25 USD per day per vehicle (including weekends and holidays). If the vehicle is not picked up within two (2) weeks from the date of purchase, Dashub reserves the right to consider the vehicle abandoned and maintains the right to obtain ownership of the vehicle for relist or resell without further reimbursement to you.

To avoid paying additional storage fees, please make sure your vehicle and all transportation costs are paid on time.

+ How soon after the auction do I have to pay for the vehicle?

Payment for all auction vehicles are due in full within 48 hours of the sale date. Once your vehicle’s buyer’s order has been generated, all information regarding payment, including payment due will be included.

Any payments received after 48 hours are subject to late and/or storage fees.

+ How soon do I have to pay for a Buy Now vehicle?

Payments for all Buy Now vehicles are due in full within 24 hours of the sale date. Once your vehicle’s buyer’s order has been generated, all information regarding payment, including payment due will be included.

Any payments received after 24 hours are subject to late and/or storage fees.

+ What payment methods does Dashub accept?

Dashub accepts credit cards, debit cards, and wire transfers.

Credit Card or Debit Card

Dashub will accept credit cards and debit cards as forms of payment for deposits only. You may add your cards into your wallet in your Hub. Please note that there is a maximum limit of $2,500 USD per transaction when using these methods of payment.

Dashub does not accept debit cards or credit cards for full vehicle payments. To make a full payment on a vehicle, you must use a wire transfer.

Wire Transfer

Dashub accepts any and all money transactions by wire transfer. When paying a buyer's order through a wire transfer, please indicate the buyer's order number to ensure timely processing. Once the wire transfer is made, please email a copy of the wire receipt to billing@dashub.com or fax the receipt to +1 (888) 870-3915. Wire transfer instructions are below.

+ What is a shipping address?

A shipping address is the address where you would like your vehicle to be shipped.

+ What are the shipping costs?

On the vehicle information page, there is a shipping calculator under the Vehicle Details. Put in your zip code to get a shipping estimate. + Can I pick up the vehicle from the auction yard?

Unfortunately, no. Only insured registered carriers are allowed to pick up vehicles from the auction lot. If preferred, Dashub can have a local tow company move the vehicle off the lot and you can pick it up from there. The cost for this service is usually $75 to $100.

+ Can I drive the vehicle from the auction yard?

Unfortunately, no. A vehicle cannot be driven until it is registered and insured.

+ How soon does my vehicle get shipped after I win the vehicle?

If you reside in the United States, your vehicle may be ready as soon as 24 hours after making your payment, provided that payment was made before 12pm Eastern Standard Time. Information for remitting payment for the vehicle and for providing your shipping and title addresses will be in your buyer’s order for the vehicle.

+ Titles

+ Does the name on my driver's license have to match the name on the title?

Yes, the Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) requires that the full legal name displayed on your driver’s license must match the name on the title. If the names do not match, the title cannot be sent to you.

+ What if I am purchasing a vehicle on behalf of my company?

If the title will be in a company’s name, please provide Dashub with a letter from the company on company stationery stating that the individual purchasing the vehicle is an authorized employee of the company.

+ What is a title address?

The title address is the address that will appear on the title of your purchased vehicle and usually matches the address on your driver's license.

+ Can Dashub mail the title to a different address / name than the one listed on the account?

Yes. Once a vehicle is purchased, you must send us your title information for that specific vehicle. Our Title Department will contact you to confirm the name(s) and address for the title, as well as the mailing address to which the documents will be sent. A copy of the title recipient's driver's license will also be required for our files. Additional information and documentation may also be requested to comply with titling changes. Any changes to a title that has already been assigned are subject to additional fees and may cause delays in issuing your title.

Please note that Dashub will not be able to accommodate title corrections that are not in line with DMV regulations. Some states require for re-assigned titles to be reissued, in which case additional DMV fees will apply.

+ When will I receive the title?

Following the auction, the auction house sends the title to Dashub, which are then processed in the order they are received. The timeframe for title delivery may depend on many factors, such as submission of title by auctions, volume of title processing, delivery of processed titles, DMV delays, and more. As such, Dashub is unable to provide an estimated timeframe for title delivery and you should plan on the title transfer and/or shipping of the vehicle with these potential delays in mind. Keep an eye out for email correspondence from our Title Department.

+ How will the title be mailed to me?

All titles are mailed to customers (USA and Canada destinations) via USPS Priority Mail, signature required for delivery. Customers may elect to upgrade and pay an additional fee (USD) for expedient delivery services with tracking options such as:

  • USPS Express (1-2 days) - $18.11 USD
  • FedEx or UPS - additional fees vary from $10 to $25 depending on location

Please our shipping department for actual shipping costs. All international customers must provide a US residential or business address (no PO boxes) as a mailing address for their title. Dashub reserves the right to substitute the delivery service listed for a comparable one.

Dashub does not set the prices for delivery upgrades and services reflected above, and is not responsible for any changes in pricing made by third party delivery companies.

+ Why did I receive a different type of title than the one in the description on the vehicle listing?

Dashub does not guarantee title types. You may receive an equivalent title type to the one displayed in the online item description. Differences between title types and designations are typically minor. Local and regional laws and regulations sometimes require our affiliate dealers and/or insurance companies to transfer the title to the state in which the buyer resides. Differences in title type and/or designation bear no change in equivalence.

+ Why did I receive an equivalent title from a different state?

Dashub does not guarantee title types. You may receive an equivalent title type to the one displayed in the online item description. Differences between title types and designations are typically minor. For example, Arizona Salvage Certificate may be displayed in the online description, but you receive a title that says Nevada Salvage Title. Local and regional laws and regulations sometimes require our affiliate dealers and/or insurance companies to transfer the title to the state in which the buyer resides. Differences in title type and/or designation bear no change in equivalence.

+ Why can't I login to my account?

There are a few issues that may be preventing you from logging in:

  • Please be sure to use the email you originally registered with. Common typos include:

    • Typing .con instead of .com
    • Typing .com instead of .net, .org, .gov,. or .edu
    • Using @yahoo.com instead of @ymail.com
    • Forgetting the numbers in your email address
    • Using one of your alternative email addresses if you have multiple email addresses

  • If you do not remember the email you registered with, please contact us with your full name and phone number so that we may retrieve your username for you.

  • Passwords are case sensitive so make sure you do not have caps lock turned on when typing in your password. If you do not remember your password, you may reset it here.

  • In the event that your email account is too old or no longer accessible to receive account information or for retrieving passwords, please contact us with your full name, the email that you used to register, and your new email address so that we may update your account username for you.

  • To ensure the security of everyone's information, we strictly monitor activity on all accounts. If your account is flagged for suspicious activity, it may be suspended. If you believe that your account has been suspended in error, please contact us with your full name and username.

+ I forgot my password. How do I reset it?

Passwords are case sensitive so make sure you do not have caps lock turned on when typing in your password. If you do not remember your password, you may reset it here.

+ I am having trouble logging in with Facebook.

If you are encountering issues with Facebook login, please try the following:

  1. 1. Log into Facebook.
  2. 2. At the top right, click the down arrow and select "Settings".
  3. 3. On the left column, select "Apps".
  4. 4. In the Apps column, find and select Dashub.
  5. 5. Make sure "Email" is selected with a checkmark. Click Save.
